We do this in the following ways:
By encouraging all youth, regardless of school affiliation, from Grades 6 - 12, in the Central Okanagan to develop scientific experiments, studies and innovations and to partake in the Regional Science Fair.
By promoting among educators and the scientific community the benefits of Science Fair participation by youth.
By including private industry, government, service clubs and local individuals in the the educational and support process.
By conducting the Regional Science Fair; a forum and an opportunity for the students to interact with other science students and with representatives of our diverse scientific community.
By enabling students with the best science projects to represent our Region and compete for the top Science Fair Honours in Canada at the Canada Wide Science Fair.

- Teachers, administrators and interested groups are encouraged to organize and conduct school science fairs. The quality science projects selected at these fairs are then invited to compete at the Regional Fair.
By including private industry, government, service clubs and local individuals in the the educational and support process.
- Funding support is accomplished through sponsorship from local private industry, school districts, service clubs and other organizations. Mentorship and judging of the Science fairs is provided by science experts from throughout the Okanagan Region lending their particular expertise in support of the students.
By conducting the Regional Science Fair; a forum and an opportunity for the students to interact with other science students and with representatives of our diverse scientific community.
- Students show their science projects to peers, spectators, participants and judges. They enjoy science experiences such as tours, competitions and shows. Awards, including gold, silver and bronze medals in each age division and science category, as well as special awards are presented. Up to six students with the highest ranking projects are then invited travel to and compete at the Canada Wide Science Fair.
By enabling students with the best science projects to represent our Region and compete for the top Science Fair Honours in Canada at the Canada Wide Science Fair.
- The Regional Committee sponsors these students and provides delegates/chaperones. The C.W.S.F. results in a national ranking of Science Fair Projects with substantial prize monies, scholarships and national recognition.
